Gonna say this real quiet so no-one shouts at me i like the colour one. Actually I'll qualify that a bit - i love the colours in the main plant - mostly because there's only a hint of colour in it and i really like that subtle effect. However, you are right going for a B/w 'cos the colour background is distracting whereas in B/w it becomes abstract swirls of tone. Lovely use of contrast on the main flower - really nice work. I like the B&W version because my eyes are not distracted by the colors, so I fully enjoy the shape and detail of the drama unfolding. I already know the colors of this flower, so I can let my imagination apply the colors after I enjoy what I see without color. I also like the blurred background in B&W, done just right to draw my eye totally to the flower. Excellent photography Maridol.
