This is a sketch that I did way back Dec 1996. Drawn on an illustration board with ordinary black ballpen and 3 shades of coloured pencils. My reference is from Reader's Digest (don't remember date of publication) and sad to say I don't have the copy

I did 3 versions of this but the other two are not with me anymore. They show more of the tiger in full with his paw resting on autumn leaves. I gave them away and have no way of even borrowing them at the moment for scanning. So, I have to settle with this one. Please check the larger version for better detail...thanks

Good drawing work! Nice detials indeed, too bad you couldn't show the reference cause it's a great capture.

What I would love to see in this on is somewhat more different colors, that way this would sparkle a lot more. Brown isn't just brown: you can build that color up from all different schades of colors. Might try that one time!
Anyhow: nice job!

I'm fortunate enough to have seen the original work from Maridols collection, this is indeed one of my favourites and the scan and reduction in image size truly takes away the intricacy and effort put into this piece. Maridol, this is a wonderful drawing, you have captured the languishing Tiger brilliantly using the barest of tools... I can only hope that one day I will be able to render something as skilfully as this.

I love the drawing ....beautiful details....The face is excellent.... but I do find a little confusing the lower part because I can not tell if is the body or a limb.....
